New #Video on #Cinnamon 6.0.4 #DesktopEnvironment on #NixOS 24.05 performance benchmark https://youtu.be/ef18PbWWHe4. Ranked 36 on https://EveryByteCounts.org. While the performance is better than #LinuxMint, it is worse than #HannahMontanaLinux. Unfortunately both Mint and NixOS use the #LightDM #DisplayManager which Canonical abandoned 2 years ago. 617MB Memory Usage, 0.68 CPU Load, 7.1GB Disk Usage and 20 second Reboot time are all poor performance metrics compared to other options.

The 531M Memory Usage and 0.67 CPU Load appear to be better than #CinnamonDesktop on NixOS 24.05, however the 6.4GB Disk Usage is terrible and the overall performance is worse than #HannahMontanaLinux. Enjoy the #memes and help this project become a grower with https://liberapay.com/craft/donate

Better performance than #Budgie on NixOS, but worse performance than #HannahMontanaLinux. 499M of Memory Usage and 0.40 CPU Load is not the worse. 6.3G of Disk Usage is poor. #EnlightenmentDesktop 26 with #NixOS 24.05 #performance #benchmark #video https://youtu.be/qYjxzNrxSn0. Is Enlightenment a #DesktopEnvironment or a #WindowManager? It seems more like a fully featured Window Manager, unless there is some way to swap out the Window Manager with Enlightenment and keep the Desktop Environment. At least it performs better than #HannahMontanaLinux which is better than most #Linux distributions.
