I'm thinking as an alternative to social media, I'll send hand-written notes along with a couple of printed photos to certain friends and family members. It might be only a few times a year, but still. I also have sent stickers to my anarchist / activist friends via snail mail in the past, which was greatly appreciated! (And I gave human artists some income in the process). Yeah, stickers and photographs. That's the way to go...!
