Several different colors of opaque glass used here, with a dark turquoise peeking through the earthy red, orange and yellow tones. I made the central pendant resemble a sort of talisman. This isn't in my online shops, but thought I'd share this 16.5 inch long necklace, just a bit longer than choker length. I kept it short because when worn, the pendant that serves as a focal bead increases the length a bit. Yesterday our Saturday market became a Sunday mini-market, as Saturday was the Veteran's Day parade. Just 3 blocks long, instead of our usual 6. It was chilly, but with glorious sunshine. When a customer is deciding whether to buy a piece, I suggest they take it into the sunshine. That usually clinches the sale. A fusion of worlds: I've used New Mexico colors (turquoise, yellow, red) to make beads that would have been typical of the Roman Empire in the 3rd-4th Centuries. Trailing of light colors over dark, eyes on the beads, the barrel shapes, very typical. So a fusion of two very different times/places. In spite of everything that's happening globally and domestically, I'm still excited that the better part of my supply of glass rods and canes has finally caught up with me in my new City of Las Cruces, NM.
