I had taken pics for my archives, thinking I would post this new 18.5 inch necklace later in the week. But it sold immediately at yesterday's Farmers Market. This shade of glass was a bit finicky, but worth the effort. A good day at the market yesterday, starting a bit chilly, but the crowds grew as the day warmed. Something new in both my Etsy shop and Ko-fi shop. I used earth tones on these opaque beads, rolling them on a corrugated metal surface while they were red hot, creating the spiral surface texture. Just completed, and hearkening back to early Roman jewelry using semi-precious stones like amethyst and rock crystal. Here, I've used transparent very pale blue and light purple Murano glass to make the beads, adding colored mica powders while white hot for shimmer, resembling iridescence.
