You know how when you were 15 you hated getting useful Christmas presents like socks and #handkerchiefs, you wanted money instead? Well, now that I'm 50 I am very grateful for the handkerchiefs my mother made me for Christmas. She recycled some old table cloths to make them, they're a good heavy #cotton unlike most commercial hankies, and having now used one of them for the first time I can confirm that they do an excellent job of soaking up #snot.
