Just a few hours in, and I can already see some color! Walnuts produce a rich brown shade, with darkness depending on the dye-to-fabric ratio. This is when I get really excited!

Tried dying some Aida fabric with coffee. For my next cross stitch project I wanted a kind of aged, mottled creamy color. I tried 3 methods:
1. 1/2 tablespoon instant coffee dissolved in one cup boiling water. Soaked for one hour.
2. 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee dissolved in one cup boiling water. Soaked for one hour.
3. Ice dying method with one tablespoon instant coffee. Sat until all the ice melted.
Love the results! Now, how do I get the coffee smell out?

#Fiberuary - a coat made from #handdyed fiber, spun in a mix & match style.

I took six braids that where mainly in the purple-turquoise family, split them in half and then in 1 m pieces, made two equal heaps, grabbed randomly a piece and made a 2-ply yarn from it.

Then turned that into that glorious piece of knitting. It's been a few years, but I still love and wear it.
