I made an Australian piano hinge book! It has pages that can be removed, rearranged, and replaced, making it the most flexible book design I've ever seen. I had so much fun with it! You can see more photos and read about my process of making it for free on Patreon:

Another #bookbinding project from last week.
This time was just making a daily planner from #softcover to #hardcover and making it looks little bit nicer.

The original cover was glued to the endpages, luckily with the help of a heat gun, was very easy to remove,

A small update on my previous #moleskine #bookbinding post.

On the bottom part of the front cover there was a small stain (caused probably by the glue) that didn't look very nice, so i decided to attempt to cover it with metal decorations (small gears). I think that this addition, not only hid the stain, but it make it look better.

D&D Character Sheet again!

This time i tried to make an embossed cover frame, with decorative items (rivets, gold foil, book corners). And although few imperfection, results are much better than previous attempts. Here few pics from both projects.

A project I'm working on is making a hardcover D&D Character Sheet Book. Since I need to learn and test new decoration techniques, I´m going through a series of experimental-bindings to familiarise with them. A bookbinding weekend project! :)
This time a compact planner, recycling pages from an old #zelda calendar.

The #planner is a 2 sections 3 hole binding.

The #endpaper used was an experiment i did last summer trying to make #marbledpaper (although the experiment didn´t went very well)

The template is done with #scribus

Recently i decided to try to make a D&D character sheet booklet, everything has been made from scratch i designed it usiing the #opensource software called #scribus ,then the pattern has been designed using #gimp. A project done during Christmas holidays. My first complex multisignature project: a Moleskine like notebook.
I did several mistakes, but I learned a lot, I finally managed to decorate it with Heat Transfer Foil. The most frustrating problem was the twisted elastic (visible in one of the pictures).

Another afternoon #bookbinding.
I made a hardcover single signature pamphlet trying to fix mistakes done on my first attempt. I faced new problems, and had to improvise. The final result was better than expected.
