At #HamRadio2024, I treated myself with a #thd75. I am confused on what the [CALL] button is supposed to do. From the manual, I get that this provides quick access to a "calling" frequency. So, pressing [CALL] and menu 204 should be identical. Yet, all my device does, is entering TX like PTT but only when in analog modes.

I just updated the firmware to 1.03 without any effect on this behavior.

Anybody able to shed some light on this.

Jedenfalls hab ich das Ding gerade so gepatched, dass es auch #wavelog instanzen mit selbstsigniertem SSL-Cert zulässt.

Today at #HamRadio2024, I got the change to pitch a dream of mine to several radio vendors. I just did a write up [on my blog](https://hb9hox.radio/en/posts/radios-for-sofware-tinkerers/).

In short, I would love to buy ready-to-use radios I can extend in functionality though software. This would make experiments with new things like #m17, #freedv and the like easier and more accessible.

Let me know if you would like to have such radios. And if you do, please talk to vendors as well.
