I am so saddened by the closing of #hampshirecollege . Being apart of the five college consortium (Mount Holyoke for me) and my experience taking classes there were beyond formative to who I am as a person. I wish every university could approach education for students the way that Hampshire tried to do. Instead of like cogs in a machine. God bless everyone trying to keep the humanities, critical (social) sciencea and liberal arts at large alive.

@Nonilex #HampshireCollege is closing. But take heart my friends from Hampshire. #AntiochCollege also closed and rose from the dead thanks to efforts by alumni. The same spirit and drive that made us choose a different kind of educational experience, endures.

Really sad to learn that Hampshire College will be shutting down. It was my first choice in colleges, way back in the 90’s, but I couldn’t make the finances work. I would have loved to go there. I know at least a couple alums, and the place really seems like it was pretty special. https://www.hampshire.edu/closure-information #hampshirecollege
