Ich frage mich ob dieser #Hammerhead #Karoo Fahrradcomputer (3 Generation) als Ersatz für meinen Garmin taugt. Da steckt ja ein Android drin, heißt dass, dass man Osmand oder CoMaps laufen lassen kann? Dann wäre mir die Stock-App nämlich weitgehend egal.
Meine Idealvorstellung wäre halt ein Gerät dessen Display mindestens 10 Stunden eingeschaltet durchhält und das mit selbst aktualisierbaren Daten aus #Openstreetmap läuft. Für die Tests im Netz scheine ich nicht das Zielpublikum zu sein. -

So my #hammerhead #karoo #cycling computer decided to live off the grid. After updating everything it still refuses to sync to their cloud platform.
I‘m okay with this, because after tuming on developer mode you can set default USB mode to File Transfer. It persists over reboots.
From now on I‘m using a cable again and no cloud at all — and I love it already!

Tja, so langsam frag ich mich schon, ob sich ein #Fahrradcomputer /Fahrradnavi überhaupt lohnt, wenn die zunehmend von der Cloud und Accounts abhängig sind. 🤷
#OsmAnd kann doch eine ganze Ecke mehr, als ich dachte (vernünftige Steigungsanzeige z.B., Sensoren koppeln).
Haben die Radler:innen hier im Fediverse noch Punkte & Meinungen hinsichtlich Pro & Contra Fahrradcomputer bzgl. Fahrradcomputer vs OsmAnd? Ggf. bestimmte Modellempfehlungen?Das Gerät soll:
- komplett offlinefähig betreibbar sein
- ohne Cloud/Onlineverbindung oder Account Routen/GPX-Dateien importieren können
- Freier Export der Tour-Daten.
- generell keinen Accountzwang haben
- brauchbare Navigation haben
Denn ehrlich gesagt sehe ich ansonsten nur einen #Garmin Edge 850 als Alternative, wenn man halbwegs offline arbeiten möchte (nachdem der #Karoo3 bei mir komplett durchgefallen ist). Für die Updates brauche ich da aber wohl auch einen Account. 🙄

Man denkt ja, so ein dediziertes #Fahrradcomputer bzw. Navi sei ja ganz cool.
Bis man merkt, dass der eigentlich schicke #Karoo3 von #Hammerhead bzw #SRAM nicht mal den Offline-Import von Routen bzw GPX-Dateien in die Navisoftware erlaubt. 🤯🤯🤯 Ohne Cloud-Account geht es nicht. 🤦
