Started watching the Halo TV series. It's good, but I can't quite get over the fact that all of humanity's combined military forces are under the control of like, 4 people. And three of them are related.

Unless there's something I'm missing from game or book lore? Just seems like a weird show budgetary constraint that plays weird with internal show logic.

The Fallout TV series shows that when Microsoft partners with producers, writers & production houses that respect the source material, you can still have original stories that fit the TV series format better, without insulting the core fans.

Not only did this bring the Fallout series to more people but also make it enjoyable to the core fans that have invested in its universe for years.

I really do enjoy the #HaloTV series. Just finished up the season and enjoyed it a lot. What I don't enjoy is having to watch it on #ParamountPlus. The apps and streaming are so spectacularly bad. On AppleTV, I get no timer for the ads. And they are brutally abrupt both in and out. On Web, sometimes you can't pause content so if you are co-watching with someone, forget figuring out a good way to sync up without a lot of rewinding and counting and all kinds of crap. It's miserable. If not for Star Trek, I'd have given it up. And honestly, I'm still tempted.

So I watched the complete Season 2 of the Halo TV series. Yes, it's different than the canon established from the books & games but it was serviceable. Could it have been better aligned with the lore established by the games & books? Absolutely.

Was it a disaster like Season 1? No, I don't think so.

#Halo the TV series dropped its second season on #ParamountPlus this week. As an occasional player of the game, I found first season to be really good and I enjoyed the world building and the fan service in things like the sets and props. The cast is great, and I'm looking forward to seeing this season. Have you watched it?

Watched the first 2 episodes of Halo Season 2. It's a step in the right direction, it's the soft reboot it needed but not sure if it's the one that will satisfy Halo fans.
