Although #gamepadla positions itself as a #gamepad input lag database, it is a pretty good overall database. You can filter gamepads by platform compatibility, features (button types, #GyroGaming, #BackPaddles, #TriggerLock, #HALLEffect / #TMRSticks joysticks, etc.), price, and more.
No idea what #LinuxGaming compatibility means, tho. Just a driver? For changing the settings or updating the firmware you would still need Windows for most, if not all, of them.

I have to say, I'm pretty angry about the fact that #Nintendo decided against using #HallEffect or TSM switches for the joy-cons. I thought they had at least learnt the lesson, but it seems they are insistent on using those cheap and fragile magnetic strip switches... I'm very disappointed.

My left Nintendo Switch Joy-Con is drifting so bad that I keep dying in Breath pf the Wild. Very frustrating. I barely even played that much! It seems it's just a matter of old age instead of wear and tear.
Anyways, I found out that an entire iFixit pro tech toolkit and two new hall effect joysticks are just slightly more expensive than a pair of new joy-cons. So I went for the more sustainable option. Would you like to see photos/videos of the repair?

I now have 3 Hall Effect Dual Senses. This one was a challenge, thanks to Sony's constant revisions. Got the eBay Purple one today. Wanted to just stick the board into my OG white one, but the insides were different enough I had to swap the entire guts over. Then I realized the R1 buttons weren't the same. After putting it together the 1st time, noticed the charge port had moved. Got all that sorted and sticks calibrated (see alt text). Tested, no drift. 😎 #DIY #Tech #DualSense #HallEffect

Turns out you can measure the flow rate of the Florida Current (part of the #gulfstream) by measuring the voltage that develops across the current using a decommissioned submarine telephone cable that runs between Florida and the Bahamas.
The voltage develops due to the differential Lorenz forces experienced by ions in the seawater as they move through the earth magnetic field. Basically a giant #halleffect.
