I finally found a solution to one of those problems that I know so many of you can relate to.
You know when you are commuting on your Halfbike™ to the office on a chilly spring day, and you look down to your wrist to check the time but can't read it because your sleeve covers your watch?
Well friends, I have the answer for you…

Get in loser, we're halfbiking to work today… ½🚲

I live a hard life.

Since I gave you my watch of the day, here is my cycle of the day

@RedFreljordian FWIW Today I am halfbiking™ with my single handed decimal watch. 🤓

Change up from yesterday's unicycle. Now it is #HalfBike time.
-
I was wrong. It IS possible to cycle up to #Grefsenkollen on a #HalfBike, where the average grade is 7% and it sometimes goes over 10% for short periods.
276m (906ft) of elevation gain from my apartment and afterwards I cycled on to work. 16km (10 miles) in total.

Curious how bad the 0.3MP camera is on this (Nokia 225 4G [2020]) phone?
Bad! 😱
These are from my commute in today. And no, it is basically not worth it for pictures you wish to cherish but… having even this shitty camera is still quite handy. 😉`

[Since I wrote that I am more often than not carring a smartphone, these days 😿]

@michaelmathy I like it, I enjoy it but this would be much better and I would use it more if I lived in Denmark or the Netherlands, which are flat.
I am a HalfBike ambassador but I try to be brutally honest. This is not for everyone, nor does it work in all locations.
For some places and people it is great but for most people you could not use this as a full bike replacement.
-
@michaelmathy I should also add that this type of device really is not suited for hilly locations which includes Oslo (where I live).
Anything around 10% or higher is basically impossible to get up and downhills are dangerous. It is easy to get carried away and go too fast (I have been over 40km/h before). The trouble with this is an unseen bump can throw your balance and cause a sharp turn resulting in a crash. Also a single brake is not good enough. If it failed you are screwed.

Question I have had on Stava and elsewhere is what the #HalfBike looks like when cycling. Since I do not have a good way to film myself, here is one of their short marketing videos

Oslo tourists to the opera house be like,
"What is the deal with this guy!?" 😜

It's actually quite hard to ride and take a picture of myself at the same time unlike when I unicycle.
