Did radio production on a great Something Blue show featuring Jeff Beck, Ray Gomez, Nigel Harpur, and Delta Legends. I also did a podcast telling the story of "Hog Jowl Blues". I played chill jazz piano at Stage Too and read "I Dreamed That I Woke Up" and "Gimcrack's Cup" at Word Play Cafe after my show.

Worked on Something Blue and my anonradio shows. Went to John Shepherd's WhatEverLand studio outside of Wynne, Arkansas, for a session with Delta Legends. Came home tired and hungry.

At Bible study we are finishing the book of Genesis and about to move on to the Gospel of Mark. Yard work. A nice nap. Played with the United Gospel Trio, recorded the Brookland Methodist Free Jazz Ensemble (kids too young to think they don't know how to play music), a fellowship meal, and an Ash Wednesday service. Lent is upon us.

School today so extra practice. I visited with John Spencer today and he recorded a Christmas song. This afternoon jazz improv lesson, maker space, northernlights, and small group rehearsal. That's enough for one day but I'm sure I'll find something to do when I get home.

Saturday, February 14, 2026 - Valentines Day
I got up and thought it was Sunday so I went right to work on Something Blue thinking I had two hours before I had to go to church. Then Megan got up and said, Aren't you helping with the Food Pantry this morning. The light dawned. I wasn't even really late. then I went to Library Game Day.
Now I'm back home working on Something Blue.

I visited friends during the day and played D&D after supper. A very social day which was great to shake off the cabin fever from our winter storm. I picked the music for Something Blue this week so I can work ahead with Library Game Day this Saturday.

Yesterday my friend Stephen helped me with my car radio, a factory cassette, that now has a line in. Thanks Stephen. I can play CDs and cassettes in my car now. This morning Bible Study. This afternoon, practice and rest. This evening, United Gospel Trio, fellowship meal, and contemporary worship. A good day.

Another day off because things got cancelled. I do plan on going to the Maker Space on campus this afternoon and then I have small group rehearsal this evening. Practice piano and vibraphone (Red Clay) and maybe record my new song. The three Rs, read, rest, and relax. This day should be all right. I'm looking forward to it.

Been a long day. I wrote a song. Or most of a song. I had coffee with an egg and sausage breakfast. That kept me busy this morning. My neighbor helped me get my car out of the yard and on the road so I could go to school. I had a lesson. I went to the maker space and made tiles for my game. I enjoyed Praise Then Darkness with northernlights on anonradio. Then small group rehearsal. Been a long day.

Reading about Sammy Nestico's big band charts for my lesson which is cancelled today. Nonetheless I soldier on with my reading and practice.
I want to clear my bench so I can hook a remote system up to the newly installed secondary system while I wait for my new network switch. I also want to check out a receiver.
