Happy #DaveDay. (Very UK specific, everyone else just get on with your lives!)
I'm not a #Biker or even particularly interested in #Motorcycles and I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be good for the environment but thousands of people are descending on #Barrow in Furness today to celebrate the life of Dave Myers (one of the #HairyBikers.
It should be some spectacle so I'll wander down to Newby Bridge this afternoon to watch then pass.

Somerset Chicken for dinner, a Hairy Bikers recipes in honour of Dave Myers.
So much of my cooking knowledge comes from Dave and Si. This dinner is one of the first proper meals I remember cooking, probably around the end of high school. It took me 3 hours then but in the end, as with all Hairy Bikers recipes, it worked.
I cooked it better today; I guess there's been a lot of HB shows to learn from since then. Cheers to Dave 💙

Really sad to hear the news that Dave Myers (one half of TV’s Hairy Bikers food tours team) has passed away.
Always came across on screen as a genuinely likeable down-to-earth bloke, and the shows he and Si King put together were something a bit special.
They had a way of making the viewer feel like being invited along on the journey. A friendly and welcoming style so many in this genre don’t.
He will be missed.

Dave Myers always came across as someone doing it right. His warmth and openness shone through in his work in equal measure to his deep-set knowledge of food and indisputable expertise in the kitchen. The Hairy Bikers' shows are testaments to the values of friendship, diversity, and taking people as they come. Deeply saddened by this news.

Really sad to hear that #DaveMyers of the #HairyBikers has died. I always liked him. He seemed like a really nice person. We saw them live in Cardiff a few years ago. They were excellent with the audience. ☹️

Aww no. Will all the famous people who I like please stop dying.
This time it's Hairy Biker Dave. I honestly thought his cancer was in remission, he & Si even filmed a couple of new programmes quite recently.
I never met either of them but they always seemed like genuinely nice people and their programmes were delightful.
