Thursday’s road trip, to and fro, was fueled by the music of my yoot — an Apple Music algorithm playing off of Saigon Kick. Featured: Saigon Kick, Cinderella, Faster Pussycat, Tora Tora, Hardline, Skid Row, White Lion, Enuff Z’Nuff, Ratt, XYZ, Britny Fox*, Lynch Mob, Trixter, Blue Murder, Wildside, Lillian Axe**, Great White, Queensrÿche, Dokken, and L.A. Guns.
*They opened for Poison at a Fargo concert, where I was elbowed in the throat by some dude and regained consciousness on a cot offstage.
**Had they spent five more minutes working on the lyrics, this song could’ve been so much better. Alas.
