Ich suche in meiner #Freizeit eine neue niedrigschwellige #Herausforderung technischer Natur für mich.

Liebäugle schon eine kleine Weile damit #Haiku auf einem (vernünftigen...) Endgerät zu installieren und eine Zeit lang als #DailyDriver einzusetzen.

Auch wenn ich meine Entscheidung davon nicht beeinflussen lasse, hat das #Fediverse Interesse an den Erfahrungen die ich in dem Moment machen würde?

Could @pulkomandy or someone else who can operate a compiler on #haiku_os please check whether it's currently possible for a program on Haiku to receive UDP broadcast packets? (Sending them is no problem, just use the SO_BROADCAST sockopt or call SetBroadcast(true) on a BDatagramSocket)

That's sad. But I agree, one can do pretty much anything with #Haiku_OS already. I'm running it on one of my laptops and everything works just fine, except for the sound, which I haven't been able to figure out. I hope alpha 4 fixes it. 😀
