Consulting street view, I'm pretty sure I took this facing east from the intersection of Cole and Haight. I lived about a mile and a half away on Fell Street, so I probably walked there.

Citrus Club on Haight Street has closed for good. :(
I walked by earlier this evening to order some takeout and all the signage was gone and a large metal gate was lowered.
A notice of application for ownership change was posted including a license for “On sale beer & wine eating place”.
Looks like it was sold sometime in the past two weeks.

#CitrusClubSF is no more.
I have been eating here and getting take out for a long time. Lots of memories with so many friends. Citrus Club was my favorite neighborhood noodle place. They had numerous vegan and vegetarian dishes. My favorite dishes were the BBQ tofu spring rolls, and marmalade coconut shrimp without the shrimp, substituting both fresh and fried tofu. From the menu: “sweet peas, onions & lemomngrass. Tossed in our coconut sauce w/Jade(spinach)noodles.”
When I walked by on the return home, the front door was open, the inside was lit but looked emptied, and there was music playing.

People think living in the Haight-Ashbury is all about the hippie history and what-not.
For me, the largest tangible benefit is to be within walking distance of three great parks: Buena Vista, the Panhandle, and Golden Gate Park. Don't know what I'd do without them.

SF Examiner is highlighting Haight St. w/ articles on some of the more interesting shops around the neighborhood. Many of these survived the pandemic against long odds.
My favorite: Free Gold Watch and its collection of retro pinball and arcade video games.

"Blue Jay Way" is a song by the English #rock band #theBeatles. Written by #GeorgeHarrison, it was released in 1967 on the group's #MagicalMysteryTour EP and album. The song was named after a street in the #HollywoodHills of Los Angeles where Harrison stayed in August 1967, shortly before visiting the #HaightAshbury district of San Francisco.
