Saw #HadesTown live on Tuesday just gone, at the Lyric Theatre in London.
My teenage daughter told me about it and showed me a few videos and I was like, yeah that looks interesting let's go see it.
It was phenomenal. All I knew before hand was that it was a jazzy steampunky version of the greek tragedy involving Orpheus and Eurydice, with Hades and Persephone. I had no idea it would be so relevant to current affairs.
The music and acting was amazing. The stage setting and lighting was also amazing. Every step, every turn, every facial expression was delivered with such passion and precision.
I've taken a few days to process but this was without a doubt my favourite part. This is not from the date we were there but it is the same cast and stage. The message is so strong!
The filmed Broadway version is coming to cinema apparently in October, so I highly recommend it 🤗
