Trying to get the Dell Inspiron with Windoze 10 to get the ACPI to make it a Hackintosh, not a good experience:

- Running oh so slow.
- No Internet connection.
- Micro$lop wanting me to register my Micro$lop account.
- Can’t enter more than 3 characters in a search in Firefox.

It just sucks! #microslop #hackintosh

Attempted to install Mac OS X (10.0) on a Wii. Sadly my allocated time for hackerspace visit (K-Space.ee) ended before the installer managed to even start as I had to go home...

I had an Acer netbook that took to Snow Leopard just fine and ran that until I could afford a full desktop #hackintosh. That’s what started me into liking Apple initially and I still keep coming back to Macs today despite my love for #Linux.

One of my favourite ultra-portable Mac laptops is the Dell Inspiron Mini 10v. It’s cute and it’s tiny and even now it says 4.5 hours of battery time. The screen is a bit short so some things don’t quite fit, but it’s an excellent Snow Leopard machine! #MARCHintosh #hackintosh

Let’s see if this is a bad idea. Upgrading my old Skylake #Hackintosh from Sonoma to Sequoia. macOS dropped support for this hardware several years ago and I’ve had to change the SMBIOS multiple times just to keep updating. It is getting a bit too far out of spec.

#Hackintosh made with OpenCore is very resilient.

My install was made on a Ryzen with RX580 back in 2019, and it survived me changing the motherboard and CPU to Intel, and GPU to 6800XT, AND then running as a Proxmox VM with passed-through GPU and boot drive (and then back to native), without any harm.

I use it to this day (daily driver is an M1 Pro MBP).

#Hackintosh made with OpenCore is very resilient.

#OpenCore and #Hackintosh are sadly dead after #Apple ends Intel Mac support.
Apple's decision to make #macOS Tahoe the last version to support Intel Macs is going to cause enormous problems for OpenCore and Hackintosh users. The communities are taking the news quite well.
