So, the #Hable #One #iOS saga continues. I finally decided to reset all the settings on my iPhone. After that, the top and bottom navigation was restored and everything is just working better overall. There are still quite a few strange #Braille translation issues. Switching the Braille input table to 8-Dot English helps a little but many issues especially with one-word contractions remain, essentially requiring the use of Grade 1 in order to ensure accuracy. The #Hable #One iOS 26 mystery continues. For some reason I have not yet figured out, I have lost the ability to move to the first or last item on the screen. Holding down dots 1,2,3 now seems to do nothing useful. Its name in Keyboard Help now seems to be “control” or “toggle speech.” I'm just hoping these are just iOS 26 Beta issues and that Hable is working on a fix before it goes public. I emailed support and I am awaiting their response.

I am experiencing strange behavior when entering contracted #Braille using my #Hable #One after upgrading from iOS 18 to iOS 26 Public Beta 3. There are actual misspellings and transpositioning of letters when using contractions like dot 5 dots 2, 3, 4, 6 and short words like af and w. Anyone else out here experiencing anything similar?

For those out there using these kinds of devices, any thoughts on the writer versus the Hable? I know that the Hable is 300 bucks, but like why though? #blind #Hable #OrbitWriter

I was able to resolve my Hable issue. Either I wasn't using the right dots, or I wasn't holding them down long enough, but I eventually successfully enabled quic nav, and now all is working! I'm really loving the Hable, but I now need to master all of the key commands! #Hable

I got an Hable yesterday, and I think I love it, but I am having a few problems. The most annoying so far is that the first and last item commands aren't working, namely dots 1,2,3 and dots 4,5,6. I've installed the update, made sure I'm in IOS mode, made sure I was using English, turned on full keyboard access and read through the trouble shooting guide a few times. Anyone have any tips or advice? #Hable

@keao Yep. Love the #hable. Also picked up #blindshell2 for emergency backup in case I need something in a pinch. Now I figure out how to use it and find out about getting service. (Grin)
