    • Acts (My church study group is at 1st Thessalonians and I'm trying to catch up)

    I finally got kicked in the arse at the gym.

    unvoluntarily by a young girl who was doing the glutes exercise which I friendly call "the donkey backkick" while I was lifting at the pulley machine

  7. #gymrat ing complete, only was able to do an hour and a half I felt weak today.

    I was able to ponder my action plan for S3. I'm going to temporarily set all the media to backblaze b2, as well as sync all prior local media to a bucket for mastodon. We'll see how well b2 can serve and handle media with the nginx cache I set up Then I'm going to make a backup of the instance just in case, then I'm going to delete all local media from the virtual machine to reduce space. Once I confirm we can continue, I have three storage nodes I was using for glusterFS as an offsite backup for proxmox, I'm going to install MinIO on them and run my own S3 target and replicate the media from b2 to MinIO so I don't need to pay backblaze. As for what I'll use as proxmox backup, I can just use the same S3 target but with a separate bucket and then I'll probably get a portable SSD and just keep that on my person to replicate the MinIO cluster as a last resort because I plan to run MinIO with no replication.

    Next gymrat post will be on Saturday and will be back at the 2-3 hour mark. #trust

    I was going to wait to post #gymrat after setting up caching but that's not gonna get done tonight. Hopefully have a solid reason to get up in the morning now I think the idea is that good.

    I have started to increase the frequency of ab exercises, I believe it's the last muscle group I need to improve. Once I can pull 200 lbs on abs consistently, currently at 160 lbs, I'll shoot for 135lbs OHP, by comparison back extensions I can do 200lbs easily.

    I have now squat more than idubbbz. I am debating going back to A-B schedules 4 days per week instead of the A-B-C-D routine 5 days.

    If I reduce cardio by one hour I should 🐝 able to roll C-D into A-B.

    An easier day with :dancing_n: :dancing_o: cardio (which means walking for 2 hours) 🐝cause I only had jeans to wear today.

    I have 🐝n thinking about what I would want to do with my time when I get my bag. And I think I would 🦫 want to stream indie and 2010s games in my spare time, except I would probably use a VR headset day drink and play idolmaster MVs below the gameplay so it would look like zoomerslop. I think that would be entertaining.

    Anyways my calluses are developing quite nicely :cirno_heh: Tomorrow is an off day, I think I will play Metro 2033.

  13. After a week off I'm back to engaging in #gymrat activities.

    4️⃣ hours and 5️⃣1️⃣ minutes logged.

    Kind of angry at the lack of help I am receiving from friends and family. Like I remember back in college I helped two friends couch surf for a few weeks/months. One of them I even helped get his GED, cause he was a loser NEET that never finished high school, drove him to work at his temp job at like 2:00 a.m., and even paid for his blood labs because he didn't have insurance.

    And even after all that I don't even talk to those people anymore. Like I've never been repaid for that assistance either.

    My biggest problem with concepts like mutual aid is that it's just rebranded begging. And personally I don't think the problem is begging (my problems cannot be solved with money so I never ask for it) everyone falls on hard times and shouldn't feel bad for asking for money just in my opinion, but I have a problem with trying to masquerade that they are going to assist you in your time of need.

    That is a false concept. I think you should help the needy just because it's the right thing to do, but I disagree with the idea that you're somehow part of a collective that's going to assist you in exchange. If you believe that you're being sold a lie.

    The person you're assisting doesn't know who you are. you don't even know who the person you're assisting is.

    Like all I've wanted was someone to watch my cats and someone to get me a temp j*b or contract for six months. But that's too much to ask for.

    Anyways I'm back to making gains in the Gym on the schedule. 💪 :cirno_baka:

    • 2 lumbar sashes
    • 1 heavy lifting belt

    This week I'll tackle the big three while deadlifting (100 kg) and hopefully a new PR for squatting too

    I broke 685 lbs on leg press which is equivalent to 7.22 Shiki Ichinoses and my current highest. I also found out that the machine only goes up to 885 lbs, so I'm going to have to find something heavier soon. I started to rewatch Shout out Live m.project-imas.wiki/THE_IDOLM@!!!

    Back to PR levels on legs, slowly catching up to pre injury levels on deadlift, I feel like I could do 275lbs (goal 315lbs) right now but I'll find out in February.

    Beginner Gym Rat at Planet Fitness; found this app to be a keeper for monitoring my workouts.

    This app has a comprehensive list of equipment and easy to use, editable templates. It’s more intuitive to use with some nicer features compared to the commonly recommended apps in this category like Strong, Fitbod, Jefit and Hevy.

    PS: Love ❤️ that they have a full three month trial for the ‘Pro’ version and Apple Watch integration.
