Mein Tip. Film von #GWPabst Im Grunde ist es das gleiche Thema wie #DerUntergang. Letzteres fand ich aber nicht überzeugend. Der von Pabst ist deutlich düsterer und näher an der Geschichte. Und so wirkt dann "Der Untergang" eher wie ein billiger Abklatsch.

It covers a lot and must have been overwhelming to many audiences at the time.
I could have done without a lot that's in the opening, including learning a new racist slur as a term for coffee (in German, and hard "r").
Like with #ShanghaiExpress earlier today, so many older films are blatantly and uncaringly racist, misogynistic, homophobic; just bad in so many ways.

@Dustin It's a film that fares the test of time quite well due to G. W. Pabst's direction and Bertolt Brecht's writing. Brecht had a largely uncredited influence on another timeless film (Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles) due his development of the concept of "Epic Theater". #bertoltbrecht #gwpabst #ThreepennyOpera #MelBrooks
