I've disagreed with a lot of ATF regulatory actions this year (mostly rolling back the rules 😩) but I think this would be a good thing, especially if they are required to keep a secure back up of the digitized records. Could make it a lot easier for law enforcement to do a gun trace. #2A #GVP

I'm now following this litigation #2A #GVP TL;DR - California had to scramble to pass new concealed carry permit laws after the 2022 SCOTUS decision in Bruen. It's taken a long time to develop procedures and hire staff to process the tens of thousands of applications, so delays run 18 mos+

#2A #GVP Interesting decision from the 10th Circuit yesterday in United States v Davis, reversing a conviction for unlawful gun possession by a felon, b/c it concluded the prior "felony" conviction was wrongly sentenced and therefore didn't qualify under 922(g)(1).

SCOTUS denied cert in 7 cases today that were Second Amendment challenges to the felon-in-possession law, and vacated/remanded another one. Also denied cert in a case challenging disarming defendant s a condition of pretrial release. #2A #GVP
