  6. Any recs for #NintendoSwitch controllers that support wired, bluetooth, and wireless (dongle) modes that not only works on the #Nintendo Switch but also PC/#SteamDeck?

I previously got the (overly) hyped
#GuliKit KK3 MAX #game controller and that was honestly shit - I was initially impressed by what you got for the money, but its wireless mode was stupid and had higher latency than bluetooth, somehow, and the quality is fucking terrible.

I'm not a 'hardcore' gamer and yet it was enough to physically break the left thumbstick?? so it's totally unusable now - funny how it's 'hall effect' this and that these days and somehow as someone who's never gotten stick drift on any
#Sony PS, #XBOX, or Nintendo controllers of mine, this hot new thing was the one that got damaged, far worse than a stick drift lol.

Something like the KK3 MAX but not broken or have shitty wireless latency would be nice. Nicer if it's as similar as possible in form factor with the
#DualShock 4 controllers than them fat XBOX controllers, but I don't think that's a thing so that's not a hard requirement.

Niemand will in Zeiten wie […]

Not sure if this is a known issue (with all or my specific #game controller), but on #SteamOS 3.7, using the #GuliKit KK3 Max controller - waking up the #SteamDeck (LCD) does ‘work’, ‘cept when I put the Deck to sleep, it keeps re-waking up lol. I assume it’s bcos putting the Deck to sleep, does not immediately turn the controller off?

  18. Successfully desoldered my orange Steam Deck OLED limited thumbsticks and resoldered them to the gulikit boards and enjoying my min deadzone without compromising appearance

  19. did some surgery this morning and replaced the thumbsticks with hall effect replacements on the kids switch, as it had developed permanent drift.

Damn those ribbon cables are fiddly, but once you work it out, its easy! Cheaper than new joycons too!

Very nice thumbsticks, should be the default ones from

  24. I'm guessing there's not much of an community on here, but does anyone know if there are any adapters (Brook XB2 or similar) that will get the King Kong 3 Max working on ?

Das #GuliKit liefert die nötigen Ersatzteile, beim Werkzeug ist es ratsam selbst besseres zu haben, Y-Schraubendreher, eine präzisere Pinzette usw.

Aber auch für einen Laien machbar.

  30. Not ready to fully judge it, but my first thought: Is GuliKit KK3 MAX the best “elite” controller for Linux? Why specifically for Linux? First, everything is configured on the device itself, no need for an app that, let’s face it, would only be available on Windows. Second, to update the firmware, you just plug it in as a USB drive and drop the file in. All devices should do this!

  32. First impressions using the #GuliKit KK3 on the #SteamDeck: ......... pretty shit. Lots of periodic, consistent delay or rather, skipping (?) going on with the (left) stick(s). Navigating thru the #SteamOS UI, horizontally or vertically with the left stick would sometimes but regularly, suddenly produce an extra step i.e. move left stick to the right once, moves the UI to the right twice, same with left/up/down.

Pretty freaking weird, seeing how I've never had this on the
#DualShock4, #DualSense, or the #XboxOne controller. This is while using the USB dongle, which is really nice to have, and post-calibration. Need to test further tho.

Update: this issue might have been caused by using the KK3 via its wireless dongle (with the Deck). Perhaps more specifically, it might have been caused by using the wireless dongle, while the dock also has attached to it another wireless dongle for my Logitech mouse - haven't tested disconnecting it tho, and using the KK3 on WiFi alone. Switching to use the KK3 via Bluetooth seems to have mitigated the issue.

  36. @irfan You’re right, those extra buttons can’t be remapped to, say, keyboard keys. You can do that with the Xbox Elite paddles in Steam. On Windows, there is a program called reWASD that supports Xbox Elite and Flydigi gamepads, among others.

One of the things I want to investigate is what can be done in this area on Linux (well, besides Steam, of course).

I would like to hear about your experience with your new gamepad. I follow the #GuliKit.

  41. #GuliKit #Controller experts, the KK2 Pro controllers are considerably cheaper than the new KK3 Max. I intend to buy my first GK controllers, and will use it for #gaming on the #Switch and #SteamDeck/#PC. Is getting the KK3 worth it over KK2? or is there anything concerning abt the KK3 that makes it less risky/better buy to get the KK2 instead?
