The 5th of April I will play some ditties together with Rusty Cage so this specimen needs some cleaning, adjusting and new strings. This used to be my main guitar for almost 15 years. It's a Gibson SG Pro from 1970 with P90s and a Bigsby. It's got a super thin neck which is why it plays like butter but the neck is also super sensitive to any pressure or force applied, you can bend it almost half a note by just pulling the neck to the back or pushing it to the front.

This Höfner Sienna's pickup still works, but as you might see, the surface is sticky and breaks here and there.
Höfner and Thomann can't get spare parts.
With super glue I tried to fix the broken parts, but the stickiness on the plastic surface is another issue.

I thought, maybe it would be possible to print this part, but I could imagine the modelling could be time consuming.

It's #GuitarTuesday and I was trying the first time to record my guitar play with the computer instead with a smartphone.
Not bad for the first time I think.

What I did?

- I used #Behringer UMC202HD, Ubuntu Studio 24
- recorded with #Audacity
- made it stereo
- normalized
- removed noise
- added a bit hall effect
- added compressor effect

There is a lot of space for improvement I guess. Feel free to share your experience with me 🤗

For #GuitarTuesday allow my to introduce a tremendously underrated guitar: the Schecter Tempest Standard. Here on display in the gold top variety.

Replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan JB Model. To get an idea of how it sounds, the solos in Your Last Shot from Stage Banter were played on this Schecter.

It is time for my main guitar to feature in #GuitarTuesday. A Gibson ES335 Dot from 2019. I always wanted an ES335 and if I would run into one for the price I had in mind I would go for it. And that happened. The guy I bought it from never played on it so it was basically brand new. It really took a couple of years before this puppy was played in. Now it plays smoothly and sounds really good with my Vox AC30. And with the inevitable Ibanez Mostortions of course.

For this #GuitarTuesday I bring thee the Teisco TB-64 "Monkey Grip" 6 string bass as played by Kazu Makino from Blonde Redhead.

I took this photo on August 18 2004 right after we opened for them with my band at that time, Soda P. This was at the 013 venue in Tilburg.

We played twice with Blonde Redhead that year, also on May 14 at the Vera in Groningen which was a sold out show. Those were the days...
