so, if there is ONE thing y’all need to understand ―ESPECIALLY MY #EU EUROPEAN READERS― is that your so-called nazis aren't natively homegrown. they have always been pollinated by the gringolarchy. Hitler and Mussolini admitted as much🧵…

Think back about being in school, having dealt with people at work, maybe church or temple if that's you, having to deal with any collection of people. How many harbor no venality? How many when pushed won't protect what's theirs? The problem here is Power, and the ambition to become powerful, success in doing so, the exhilaration, maybe even a sense of misguided responsibility. People act in their own interests, but even if most ultra wealthy are more or less "stand up" as most of their fellow humans, human nature predicts a few will act only in their own interests—a few with the power to ruin everybody's day, not just their neighbors'.

Read American history. This has happened before. Build. Concentrate power. Regulate. Tear down regulations. Concentrate power. History repeats. Stories of kings and peasants.

    People always get hurt.

  7. @samfromtheus No private trains because air travel is so much faster now. Back in the #GuildedAge, before air travel was a thing, private rail cars were how the rich travelled.

  8. My high school cafeteria in #Fairhaven #Massachusetts had a vaulted ceiling using the herringbone tile system patented in 1885 by Raphael #Guastavino. The high school was built in 1806, financed by industrialist Henry H. Rogers, Rockefeller's right hand man at Standard Oil, and a native of the town. The building was designed by Watertown, MA, architect Charles Brigham. The building is still our high school today, now with a modern wing added in 2000.
