Time for another unreliable amateur prediction of the latest eruption in #iceland
There was very little seismic warning before this eruption, so it's possible there is now an open, low-resistance route from the magma reservoir under Svartsengi to the craters.
Since that magma chamber has been filling at a constant rate for months, unless something happens to block the route, we could see lava coming out at that same constant rate for much longer than the other recent eruptions.
