#GuardsGuards is still one of my favourite Pratchett novels and while it wasn't my first #Discworld novel, it was the one that caused me to fully buy into the Discworld.
I adore Carrot and Vimes as characters have a great duality between them. Nobby and Colon are hilarious as a duo, acting as our EveryMan for Ankh-Morpork.
I love the way he constructs his narratives and dialogue, bringing politics and social commentary into his books at every turn.
