Interesting and long long long long overdue new integration for #GSuite between the old #GChat feature (now just gmail chat) and #google #meet chat. Meet chats now appear in GChat.

Got turned on at the tail end of my sabbatical and I started getting a flood of message notifications (now muted).

Since it got the flood of messages, I said hello to my team whilst not in the meeting to:
a) see if it got sent to the meeting room without me being in it
b) see if they missed me

It did. They didn’t

In regards to #LibreOffice collaborative features in Writer and Calc, has anyone actually implemented this on an #organizational level?

What are the limitations? What's lacking? What have they gotten wrong, what have they gotten right? Is it easy to use? Is it easy to implement?

I'm looking to see what's the best way of setting up a #DataCooperative and I want it to be comparable to #Office365 or #GSuite, because people have gotten used to it. The real-time aspect is key.

I got all excited to switch email providers from Gmail to @protonprivacy because I love their privacy stance and services for replacing other aspects of Google Workspace. Unfortunately, I just realized they don’t allow IMAP on iOS, so I have to use their email app. That means constantly using multiple mail apps on my phone which is a nonstarter.

Any other recommendations for a reliable Google replacement? I use Email, Docs/Sheets, and Drive.

Google search is failing me

draft - In google docs for Android, when we tap this area where it says "untitled document", it's supposed to auto-populate with the first sentence of what we type. However, that doesn't seem to be currently working... Anyone else having this issue ?

Todays #Google #Wtf; The licensing cost for #Gemini for Business is *three times* the cost of a #GSuite license on a per user basis.

Can someone explain to me why an #AI assistant would be three times more valuable to me than an SSO user authenticaion provider, GMail, Google Drive, Sheets, etc., etc., etc. combined?

I'm starting to think that there is no sane way to use Google Drive as an enterprise.

It's way too easy to have files shared to the wrong user.

Question to the room about #googleDocs. I need a way to keep track of word count between the subtitle that starts one chapter, to the heading that starts the next. I'm not finding a good way to do that past custom scripts or highlighting the words myself each time. Any suggestions? #help #gsuite

Why is it so hard to sync between Outlook calendar and Google calendar? I can get new events in to outlook, but it won't recognize when things get deleted or changed from google. Very frustrating. #microsoft #google #outlook #gsuite #googleWorkspace

All have secure passwords and #twofactorauthentication shared via #bitwarden with people that use them

I still don't like the idea of multiple people accessing the account and reducing the #auditability of who did what, for inbound email I can setup forwarding rules, but for them to send out email they still need to access the actual account, any better way to do it then this?

I got my domains moved over to #porkbun last night so now the final task is finding a #Gsuite / #Gmail alternative.

I originally thought Proton was the only contender, but I was mistaken. There are plenty of good options out there.

Has anyone successfully moved google workspace/gsuite to microsoft exchange? I'm having issues doing this and could use some help.

Google GSuite is surprising little changed over the last five years. It relies on search and offers a poor way to organize or produce graphs (connected knowledge, not chats). Thinking about Notion or Loop by comparison. Too bad they abandoned Wave which was a decade ahead of everyone (lack of foresight). #Google #GSuite #innovation
