  1. Today's the last day of the #GSoCMentorSummit. It's been great to put faces to names, and talk with other org admins about how we can better support mentors.

    This program is not just a source of excellent memories for me, it's been an important way of pulling people into contributing to open source.

    For someone like #GSoC2023 #gsoc candidates; be careful out there! There's a lot of unspoken, unwritten, internally shared rules. Your PR will be effectively rejected even if it works, unless it aligns with their goals, which you have zero chance to know before you submit a PR.
