I'll switch to the Nighhaunt for my Halloween avatar later, but first, I wanted to show off how cute this art of Pumpkin that @meeteazy drew from last year was <3
-
I feel like we're just a few gryphons away from an all-gryphon rock band. Whisper on guitar, a motmot on drums, and Flicker... wait, what would Flicker be playing?

Whenever I wear blue eye makeup, I feel like I'm stealing her look.

Thinking about... Younce this morning.
Pros: Fluffy, can see in the dark, looks good in pink, good with gryphlets, friends with Biski and Zeph, leadership potential
Cons: Afraid of fish, maybe TOO adorable, infamous pumpkin thief, weak stomach, sometimes isn't pink

As Pride Month turns to Wrath Month, I'm sticking with Whisper from Pridelord as my profile pic, using rainbowbirds12's art of her =)
Whisper is kinda both gay AND wrath. Or maybe Flicker and Whisper together are like if Gay and Wrath were lesbians and dating.

Thinking of... Reeve Silver of the Argent Heights tonight.
"What kind of name is Silver?"
"Not the type you give to a fledgling you expect to rule an eyrie."
Famously the first lesbian in GryphIns who can put together a nest that doesn't fall apart.

Happy Pride!
Merteazy updated my favorite Whisper gif to be as trans as she is. Finally, a pride gif for gooey transfemme antiheroes who need to wipe their eyes. I feel so seen <3

Thinking about.... Tresh and Rorin this afternoon.
-
Aaaw, Clamshell and Moonlit Blossom.
Maybe Moonlit Blossom needs a chibi heart.
Such adorable gryphons by the CockatielForger.
-
Fan references for characters are always fun to see as the author, because obviously, Whisper is trans and a lesbian in the text, but when the CockatielForger is putting bisexual next to Nighteyes and lesbian next to Wendl, I'm like... is this a fanfic verdict or vibes or..?
-
One of the more unexpected characters to get fan art is Zeph's mom =) I like the design the CockatielForger gave her.
-
Thinking about... Hatzel today.
Someone should give Hatzel her own book.

"Is there any fan art of the Nighthaunt?"
There is! The CockatielForger has two pieces, and RainbowBirds12 has this lovely piece down below on DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/rainbowbirds12/art/Mally-the-Nighthaunt-1030115230

Tonight I'm thinking about... Hatzel and Zeph at the start of their adventures in Eyrie, long before Saberbeak. The last saber-toothed tiger gryphon and a tiny little copperhawk with blue eyes, abandoned by the taiga pride. Who knew how far from home their adventures would take them?
-
Thinking about harpy eagle gryphons this morning.
(Merin from Reevesbane, 🎨 by Risuquin)
#Gryphon #GryphInsFanArt #GryphIns -
Tonight's editing on the novel Saberbeak features the infamous Duckbill Murder Hen, a mallard+beaver (or is that platypus?) serial killer locked away in the depths of the Argent Heights.
Or, as Reeve Silver calls her, "Molly, please don't alarm our new gryphon guests."
-
Opening up a scene with Stripes and all four motmots in a giant nest while the mates of two of the motmots have to sleep on the floor.
"They had called her reevesbane, reeve, reeve-sister, and finally just sister, these four motmot bodyguards who would not give Stripes their names."

Hmm, what's that over on Patreon? It's not a special cover variant of Eyrie as a Gryphmas gift to all patrons, even the free tier, is it?
I think it is!

This is your annual reminder that there is, in fact, a GryphIns Discord server, and if I leave them alone for fifteen minutes, they decide Sponge's theme song is "Hydrate Jirate" and @meeteazy draws a masterpiece like this.
(Feel free to poke me if you're a GryphIns fan and want an invite to chat about Eyrie with other fans.)

While Kia has never had her own sticker pack, @Stupidshepherd would often draw fun group picks of the various characters they've done stickers for at the end of the year, and one year, Kia got a cameo in a Christmas scene =]
I love how Shep draws Kia so much<3

Since it's October, I thought it'd be fun to do a quick thread of fan art for the bog witches who show up in the GryphIns series.

Last Christmas, I received a fan letter from CockatielForger with fan art of various characters with songs associated with each one.

Just close your eyes, Thenca, and when you count to ten, you'll be a well-mannered gryphon.
When you count to ten, you'll be a diligent gryphon.
When you count to ten, you'll be a mockingbird and not a shrike.
When you count to ten...
(Aggretusko death metal starts.)

Today's writing session goes out to everyone who has written asking if Satra will ever have a new girlfriend... and specifically not to the one letter I got saying Pridelord had "too many lesbians."
Little Satra has grown up so much since Blue Eyes.

2:30am. Time to rise and shine... and do some editing! And who better to summon in the new day than Sponge as a rooster?

Who's up at 2:30am editing? It's me =]
It's nice and rainy, the windows are open, and there's time to get some edits done.
Please enjoy this @meeteazy fan art of Blinky.

Finally done, only... 11 days late for #pridemonth >.=.<
I don't typically do fan art, (or color, or sfw...) but I've done it this time. Anyway, on to the description.
It's Lei from @[email protected]'s Gryphon Insurrection series, which I highly recommend reading if you haven't already.

It's always fun when a new group of readers start the series and are going through and talking about it at around the same rate =] Seems like for this batch, Stripes and her motmot bodyguards are the most popular.

Good medical news today!
(Not getting the infusions back, but this is the step before that's been holding everything up.)
To celebrate, please enjoy Risuquin's delightful drawing of everyone's favorite doctor/lawyer, Biski Feathermane.

I got home from a walk today and Glenn asked if I'd like to spend the afternoon writing a Rorin standalone novel together for a few hours =] Of course, I said yes!

Writing and editing on Saberbeak tonight =] Been a while since I've been productive. It's good to write Satra again, and it's fun writing her and Silver together. Their leadership styles are... very different.

Over on Tumblr, CockatielForger has been turning the prologue of Starling into a fan comic =]
