When I was young I didn't really like #BroadBeans they seemed to have a rather unpleasant aftertaste apart from their skins being tough. Now I #growmyown, Super Aquadulce and they are perfect - can't get enough of them. Is it me that's changed or did we grow awful varieties 40 years ago? #allotment #growyourown

HOA rules are "no growing vegetables on your porch".
What edible plants would you suggest I grow? I'm already growing mint, because herbs!=vegetables in my mind. Last year I grew potatoes because
1. they're sneaky and
2. I had a bag full of volunteers.
The reasoning for the rule is that vegetables attract pests, which feels kinda silly because they allow planting bulbs, which I know attract pests because all the bulbs I planted last year were dug up and eaten by pests. #containergardening #sneakygardens #growmyown #containergardening #sneakygardens #growmyown #containergardening #sneakygardens #growmyown #condolife
