"Deborah ('Deb') Neher is a soil ecologist and professor emerita at University of Vermont. She gained formal education in plant pathology, plant population ecology, and environmental science. Her experience as a researcher, educator, and graduate student mentor spans 35+ years.

This Russian heirloom dryland rice is well adapted to a short season, cool climate and would probably die if grown in a paddy. Its happy to be grown in the garden and kept moist. Short grained it will make a good sticky rice, that's if I can harvest it all before the mice do. They've already taken a huge swack.
