I love a good #groovebox. The #1010music bento has some amazing ideas in a smart form factor

A few turn offs though ... The hardware is tuned for size over robustness. I play live with a Korg minilogue module that would survive being run over by a car. How many times can you plug/unplug those tiny cables before the bentos tiny jack sockets wear out?

I feel like none of my projects are timely (or ever completed for that matter), but the band is planning to start writing again. I'm imaging a lot of big band sounds, so I got a Zynthian to serve as an "orchestra in a box" for shows.

Hoping to use it with the keytar I'm designing to trigger backing tracks and things. Fun kit to put together.

Finally some #upcycling for old #gear: #MOTU UltraLite as digital mixer for rarely used #synths & #groovebox.es (Roland D-10, MC-101, Novation Circuit Tracks) - downmix with optional EQ / Comp > Stereo Input of my almost 20 year old RME Fireface 800 > 8 Stereo Inputs with the other synths > ADAT > RME Babyface FS. Now all outboard stuff can be recorded individually inside #LogicPro.

Now desperately trying to convince myself that more hardware is out of the question, and plugins are just fine.

After making #ElectronicMusic, in some form, and playing in a band that has been centered around a #sequencer of some sort for over 25 years, I finally got my first "#groovebox" sequencer of my own, a #Synthstrom #Deluge. I've had a lot of different things that can sequence _or_ sample _or_ create synth patches but nothing that can do it all-in-one.

I mean, they can't all be encoders, but the sample editing knobs are frustrating af, because if I tweak the volume of my kick for example, then go to tweak the volume of the snare, the moment I touch it, the snare jumps from w/e volume it was at to the position of the knob.
