Grimms' The King Of The Golden Mountain is a short 6 page tale.
I like the mother most of all the speaking characters. She gets to say, "Yes our son had a mole-spot under his arm", and never enters into either side of a Faustian bargain nor takes absolutist positions or actions.What's not to like?
