Definitely curved for lefties, this one.
Not sure how to treat it. It's super green right now. Probably not going to cure it for 2 years in the chimney though. 🤷

I made this mallet a while ago, but I recently broke it so I had to make it a new handle. This is it's third (!!), but the head hasn't split yet so I'm still calling it a win. Head is sugar maple--the color is from metal oxides in the soil getting pulled into the wood fibers during the life of the tree. Handle is salvaged red oak. #theWorkshop #woodworking #greenwoodworking

Svarvaren Mårten Byden visar hur en svegsvarv fungerar, under helgens Slöjdfest på Krutbacken, Kviberg Göteborg.
Svegsvarven användes under vikingatiden men är förmodligen äldre än så. Den användes långt in på 1900-talet innan den ersattes av elektriska svarvar. Men nu börjar den göra comeback!

Lors de la première journée du #spoonClub, j'ai commencé une cuillère assez grande. Je l'ai ensuite continuée les jours suivants et je suis arrivé au bout de ce que je peux faire au couteau et couteau croche.
Il va falloir passer au papier de verre maintenant que la cuillère commence à être un peu sèche.
