#GreenHydrogen production is, in effect, a way of bottling #renewable #energy. When the #wind blows harder than we need, that surplus #electricity is used to make #hydrogen. When the wind drops, stored hydrogen can be turned back into #electricity in a power station – doing the job #gas does today, but without the emissions or the imports.

Congrats to Japan’s MOL on making hydrogen at sea on th a12m / 39-foot sailing sloop "WINZ MARU", but the Energy Observer @energy_observer vessel was launched in 2017, and made/stored/used hydrogen in its round-the-world trip.

Why did Clean Power Hydrogen #CPH2 think they could build a #hydrogen electrolyzer that was prohibited by int'l safety codes, given their:

"…admitting it did not have the 'financial, engineering, or technical' resources."

I'm just glad nobody was killed.
