Living in a rural area has challenges and rewards. Grocery or hardware shopping is an hour of round trip driving so make a list and don't forget anything. But if you wake up to a warm house and no air conditioning (like this morning for example) you can text the local company and Mike calls you back and says he'll drop by before lunch. Small town service at its best.

That was unexpected. Had a leaking pipe, and the earliest I could get a plumber was 4 Jan. They rang this afternoon, and now plumber is fixing pipe. Awesome. The pipe burst under my lounge, so we had to lift the carpet, and cut out the floorboard.
