On a #qwerty keyboard, #GreatCrestedGrebes is one of the longest phrases that can be typed using only the left hand.
Grebes are among the oldest of all #birds; #fossils from 80 million years ago have been discovered.
They tend to be clumsy on land because their legs are so far back on their body, but they are great at diving - up to 17' - and pursuing prey underwater for up to thirty seconds at a time. They eat a lot of their own #feathers, possibly to protect against sharp fish bones.
