Water Conservation Measures in Effect for South Rim

The South Rim is under water conservation measures due to a series of pipeline breaks in the inner canyon. The park remains open, however, the following changes are in place: Camper Services has closed; water spigots at Mather Campground and Desert View are off, and outdoor wood and charcoal fires are prohibited. Effective December 17, the South Rim has returned to Stage 3 Water Restrictions. Camper Services at Mather Campground is closed; water spigots at Mather Campground are turned off; restrooms at Mather Campground remain open; Park concessioners, partners, visitors, and residents are asked to continue water-reduction (1/2)
