@jkirk absolut. @cahimelsiek was ich gerne nutze sind Clients wie #NewPipe oder #GrayJay, da lässt sich ein Feed nicht nur aus YouTube Videos zusammenstellen, sondern auch mit #PeerTube Kanälen und anderen ergänzen, leider noch nicht mit der #ÖRR Mediathek. @bastian_S

@colpam io alla fine sto usando #Grayjay su Android e mi trovo benone, ma quelle volte che torno su PC senza #uBlock aiuto un incubo
Per non parlare quando vado dai miei che hanno la TV con YouTube installato e guardare un video insieme è più un fastidio che altro
Cioè la qualità è diventata davvero pessima.

For watch parties, I do them on my laptop, with video on left & Mastodon on right
With #Freetube, I can adjust window size for that. Even better, I can use pop-out (a.k.a. picture-in-picutre) to have just the video on the left & minimize the rest of the app
With #Grayjay, I can't find how to pop-out the video, so whole app visible. & it won't even let me resize enough to fit to the left of the Mastodon window

@marcorudy oh, for YouTube I don't know. I'm probably the only person on the planet who doesn't use YT unless I have to at work. I was premium sub and used it a lot before Google started showing up smiling at the inauguration and donating $$$ to support dismantling democracy. #degoogle
But aren't there a bunch of apps that allows you to watch w/o ads? Like #grayjay and is the other one called freetube?

I am really liking #grayjay by @futo. It is the best Open Source Android-frontend for #odysee that I have tried so far, and it even supports several additional sources like TED, Patreon and even YouTube.
I am trying to take the plunge to only use Peertube and Odysee (and not YouTube or other centralized platforms), and this makes it easier! I feel that Grayjay has lots of potential, and I am looking forward to seeing future improvements.
