#Gravy is made from starch mined near the north pole. The mines are very controversial since they are close to the nesting grounds of #gravybirds.
Because the starch that is used to make gravy is a polar molecule it is only found near the poles. Mining is not done at the south pole due to hard rock. Most miners prefer jazz or country music.
Gravybirds are the only thing #gravyseals are known to eat . They are one of the few mammals able to dive to the deep depths needed to hunt them. The birds use their heated beaks to melt the ice and slowly sink down to the starch deposits where they stuff large quantities of it under their flippers. It is both a food source and a natural deodorant so the birds do not stink.
The gravyseals are not able to melt the ice so they are forced to swim long distances to get to the gravybird hunting sites..
Mining activity disrupts their hunting because the miners Jazz music interferes with the gravyseals sonar.
