I don't get why I get notified when a new follower adds up to my list but I don't get any update when I loose one.
I guess that's something related to the old, boring #gamification and #gratification habits of the alternative #SocialNetworks but I think having a chance to say goodbye is something human as saying welcome to a new friend.
Moreover, often those who unfollow you can tell you something more interesting on you than any new follower.
I think #Mastodon could change a bit on this.
