Another thing has tried to kill me:
✅ Wasp
I was stung by a wasp on Jul 30. It hurt but I thought it was fine until I woke up with a rash on Aug 7. Pharmacist told me to use hydrocortisone cream + said to go to the hospital if it got worse.
It was much worse on Aug 8 so I went to the hospital. Doctor said it was infected + prescribed antibiotics. He said it’d get worse before antibiotics kicked in. Yep.
Side effects from antibiotics weren’t fun but finally feel like myself.

I’ve been quiet since I did a LOT of peopling and needed recovery time.
Went on a road trip with friends a week ago to Keremeos to see my mom as well as a friend I didn’t know had moved there. We stayed on an orchard. It was magical.
My mom was happy to see me and it was good to see her new care home. She had a fall when we were at her friend’s house and I beat myself up all week about it. Sigh. Trying to be kind to myself.

Had a follow up appointment with my doctor today. I had a weird mark on my left ankle not far from where I had the 3 foot surgeries so I saw him last week about it. He told me to come back in a week and it’s mostly gone now. He said today that he didn’t want to burn it since I had such a difficult time with the foot surgeries so glad it’s healing.
Liver enzymes are good so he congratulated me on the weight I’ve lost to heal my fatty liver.
He prescribed shingles vaccine.

The picnic gathering was so good! So much so that I was chatting so much that I forgot to eat. Met lots of lovely women. Exchanged numbers with a couple people. Oh, and did I mention that they encouraged everyone to wear a crown?! I finally wore my tiara somewhere other than my apartment.

I wasn’t looking for the clothes but happy to have discovered smaller clothes that fit my current size.
I’m going to a picnic tomorrow and was looking for my camp chair to take with me tomorrow.
I’m stepping completely outside of my comfort zone tomorrow by attending a picnic with women I’ve never met before. It’s a gathering for women 40+ and I’m both anxious and excited. I discovered it on TikTok and RSVP’d yes.
My life is opening up in ways I never could have imagined.
