Isn't this essentially the reverse of digging up coal and burning it? Wouldn't it be more efficient to cut out the middleman by instead, converting electricity generation to solar away from coal?
My initial reaction is this is a shell game instead of an actual solution.
Headline: "American Airlines works with startup to reduce carbon dioxide by storing bricks of plant material underground"

Danke, der Geschenklink hat funktioniert.Ich finde, die angeführten Alternativtechnologien sind leider nicht gut mit Graphyte-Blocks vergleichbar, da sie Capture & Storage umfassen, während #Graphyte nur einen Zwischenschritt abdeckt.
Problematischer scheint mir aber, daß hier wieder Reststoffe verwendet werden sollen, die kostengünstig und klimaneutral zu bekommen seien. Ähnlich wurde für Holzpellet-Heizungen geworben, für die aktuell aber osteuropäische Urwälder abgeholzt werden. -
