#graphicbooks — Public Fediverse posts

Just a periodic offer as a #writer to people who create #zines or want to do #audiobooks or do #graphicbooks etc.

Maybe you struggle with the plots and the scenarios, and need a little boost to have something to build your stuff around. In that case, you are free to use some of my stories. Here are a bunch to look at and consider as source material. They are short and tight, and maybe useful. No need to pay me, but you do need to cite the source.

I scored this rad #hardcover #book for free, today 😀

Poison Flowers & Pandemonium - A #RichardSala #Omnibus. It's a collection of his last four books in one gorgeous hardcover. It was published & released just months before his death in May 2020.

I'm looking forward to diving into this book, tonight, after work. It was a fantastic free find👍

“Charles Burns loves a doomed romance. This has been true throughout his career as a graphic novelist, and it remains so in his remarkable new book, FINAL CUT.
Burns tells this latest story using a visual style that he has honed over decades of comics, designs and album covers….” 📚 ✍🏽 🖼️ #graphix #GraphicBooks #drawing #writing #CharlesBurns

A sample page from the #GraphicNovel I'm working on, an adaptation of the best selling non-fiction #DeadManWalking by @helenprejean and our wonderful illustrator, Catherine Anyango Grünewald. I'm doing the script. Hoping to get it to our publishers, Random House, next year.

(BTW, there should be a better name for non-fiction graphic books. We're calling this Dead Man Walking: A Graphic Adaptation.)
