"Poster for Frommes Kalendar," Koloman Moser, 1889.
Moser (1868-1916) was one of the foremost artists of the Vienna Secession, an art movement closely tied to Art Nouveau...in fact, I'd say that the Venn diagram between Vienna Secession and Art Nouveau is almost a perfect circle. Almost.
Moser was primarily a graphic designer; much of his work was on posters and other printed materials, rather than stuff you'd gaze at in a gallery. But, being a firm believer that art is where you find it, I consider his works perfectly worthy of study.
He also designed furniture, stained glass, jewelry, mosaics, household goods, and even dabbled in architecture. His design work appeared on Austro-Hungarian postage stamps and even the 1911 Austro-Hungarian Imperial 50-crown note.
My favorite art movement, the Nabis, believed in incorporating art into everyday life, and Moser certainly subscribed to that belief! It's easy to take design work for granted, but it has a huge impact on daily life.

Amid my wanderings and excavations, this image grabbed my attention in an unrelated search result and I had to immediately look it up to see what it was from. It turns out to be a cover image from Harrow County comics by artist Tyler Crook.
Apparently he was inspired by an old Prince Valiant frame by comics artist Hal Foster. (https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1339351)
