Yesterday, in what I think was the quintessential #SomervilleMA transaction, I exchanged a tour of Powder House park and some Lyndell's half moons for this glorious recent photo print by @mcmillen.dev of the #aurora and the #GrandUnion flag there.

Still homeward bound on Seren. Today we did the remaining locks at Napton then cruiser on to Braunston. Went shopping, did 6 more locks and the Braunston tunnel before stopping near Norton Junction. Pizza for dinner, made on board with sourdough obvs. 5 miles and 7 locks to Crick wharf tomorrow then the OH will collect us by car. #BoatsThatToot #Boating #GrandUnion #Braunston

For #SomervilleMA area folks: tomorrow is the 248th Flag Raising on the top of Prospect Hill.

There's a walk from city hall, up to the tower, a short program, cider, snacks. The museum will have city history magnets and other tchotchkes.

Tower might be open (typically is), but I don't know that for sure. Fabulous views of the area.
