I love this from my daughter. Miss 8 granddaughter & her bestie gathered native flowers from besties garden & made bouquets for their Mums. Then they also made more bouquets & put them in old baskets & sold them for $10 each to the neighbours. After which these little entrepreneurs shared the money with their siblings & ended up with over $20 each. Below is a sample of what they did - I’m impressed. Home Again

Whew. We’re back home after a week helping out with the grandkids. Good times. Good fun. Crazy exhausted. 

Catching them for extended periods about a month in between each tour of grandparent duty, it’s astounding to see how fast they grow. Most of my grandpa tricks don’t work any more. So, I’ll have to pull out a few new ones for the next visit.

🧵2/ My ten year-old grandson is developing into a talented chocolatier. He understands the different kinds and strengths of Cacao. He’s used coco powder, chocolate chips, baking chocolate bars; dark- and milk-chocolate. Knows his stuff. He’s baked brownies, chocolate muffins, lava cake, triple chocolate cake…and now, he’s produced his first Dubai Chocolate bars, two kinds. We had to order some of the exotic ingredients, including the pistachio paste; but once on site, the kid took over. He definitely commands the kitchen. #Chocolate #FromTheKitchen #grandkids

Having my two granddaughters to stay involves clearing my weights, step, yoga mat, bands etc out of the spare room. Pulling the trundle bed out from under the spare bed, folding out the legs & making the bed. We went out for Thai last night because Fridays are busy for me generally & I didn’t want to cook 😁. We did shopping today & I took them home after lunch. It was a lot of fun having them but boy is it tiring. Now I have to do the reverse to get my spare room back to what it was. Just sat down for a cuppa (which I think may just change to wine by dinner time) & spotted this 👇🏼on my back porch. My ten year old grandson is a budding baker and chocolatier. Today, he made #DubaiChocolate bars - after we ordered all the specialized ingredients. Last week he made chocolate covered fruits and from-scratch Lava Cake. Helps that my wife, his Nana, is a trained chef to guide him. It’s great watching him learn measurements, practice his knife skills, and command the kitchen. He’s very passionate and focused on his hobbies - from his baking and candy-making to his mountain bike. Of course we’re very proud of him. #GrandKids are the best.
